REMO PS-0308-00 Pinstripe Clear Drumhead 8 inch

REMO PS-0308-00 Pinstripe Clear Drumhead 8 inch. Take control of your drum sound with the industry standard for durability and fat, focused tone.

The Remo PS-0308-00 Pinstripe Clear 8-inch drumhead is one of the most popular heads in the world for a reason. Specifically designed for drummers who want a “wet” sound with a quick decay, the Pinstripe series is the go-to choice for Rock, Pop, and R&B players who need a head that can withstand heavy hitting while maintaining a controlled, studio-ready tone.

THE POWER OF THE “PINSTRIPE” DESIGN

What sets the Pinstripe series apart is the unique construction of its two-ply Mylar film. Remo applies a measured layer of a special agent between the two plies at the outer edge, creating the iconic black “pinstripe” circle.

Dampened Overtones: The pinstripe design works to dampen high-frequency overtones, resulting in a deeper, warmer pitch.
Controlled Resonance: By reducing ring at the edge of the head, you get a focused attack followed by a quick, musical decay.
Enhanced Durability: Built with two plies of 7-mil clear film, this head is significantly tougher than standard single-ply heads, making it ideal for high-volume performance.

PERFECT FOR SMALL TOMS AND AUXILIARY PERCUSSION

At 8 inches, the PS-0308-00 is the perfect fit for high-pitched rack toms or specialized percussion setups. It provides a punchy, articulate “thud” that allows small drums to cut through a dense mix without the annoying “ping” often associated with smaller drum diameters.

WHY CHOOSE REMO PINSTRIPE CLEAR?

For decades, Remo Pinstripe heads have been the secret weapon for recording engineers and gigging drummers alike. They are incredibly easy to tune and remain stable even under fluctuating temperatures and humidity—perfect for the touring musician.

Clear Finish: Offers a brighter attack and more “snap” compared to coated versions.
Versatile Application: Works brilliantly across all drum shell materials, from Maple and Birch to Steel and Acrylic.
Professional Standard: Trusted by top-tier drummers globally for its reliability and unmistakable “fat” sound.

FEATURES AT A GLANCE:

Model: PS-0308-00
Size: 8 Inch
Construction: 2-ply 7-mil Clear Mylar film.
Sound: Low-end, fat, and focused with minimal overtones.
Use: Ideal for Rock, Fusion, and studio recording.
