While every student grows at their own pace, here is a general guide to choosing the right guitar size by age and height:
  • 1/4 Size (30" - 34"): Ideal for young beginners aged 3 to 5 years (Height: 3'3" to 3'9").
  • 1/2 Size (34" - 38"): Perfect for children aged 5 to 8 years (Height: 3'10" to 4'5").
  • 3/4 Size (38" - 42"): Designed for students aged 8 to 11 years (Height: 4'6" to 4'11").
  • 4/4 Full Size: Recommended for players aged 11 years to adult (Height: 5'0"+).
It depends on the player's preference, but nylon-string Classical Guitars are often favoured for younger beginners because the soft nylon strings are gentle on unconditioned fingertips. Electric Guitars are actually easier to press down than standard steel-string acoustics due to thinner string tension and lower action, making them a great choice for rock and pop fans. Acoustic Guitars are ideal for those who want a portable, all-in-one instrument for strumming and songwriting without needing an amplifier.
Our all-in-one starter packages take the guesswork out of getting started. Depending on the instrument type, our bundles include essential accessories such as a padded carrying bag, clip-on digital tuner, shoulder strap, plectrums, and an instrument cable or practice amplifier where required.
Yes! Everything needed to start playing is included in the box. Guitars naturally settle and require tuning upon unpacking, but our bundles come complete with easy-to-use digital tuners so you can tune up and start playing immediately.
