Tanglewood TWCR DCE Electro Acoustic Guitar
Tanglewood TWCR DCE Electro Acoustic Guitar
Tanglewood TWCR DCE Electro Acoustic Guitar. The Crossroads series pays homage to the style and sound of classic instruments from 1930’s America. Michael Sanden selected the timbers, making the tops a precise measurement so they flex and respond to the players attack.
He then braced the instrument with his own patterns to give each guitar its own personality. He wanted to make a guitar that would have the sound that any musician, professional or amateur could appreciate. To make the guitar look authentic to the 1930’s era, Michael added a dark stain to the timbers that we call Whiskey Barrel to make the Crossroads look historic and simply elegant.
Tanglewood TRSF CE AEB Super Folk Acoustic. The Tanglewood TRSF CE AEB is an electroacoustic guitar of the “Super Folk” type, i.e. an instrument with a narrower and shallower body than, for example, the Dreadnought. The body of the guitar is made of laminated ebony. The fine workmanship is accentuated by the double-sided maple body binding, the Herringbone-patterned rosette and top bout, and the ebony veneer on the headstock adorned with the company logo.
Tanglewood DBT PE HR Parlour Acoustic Guitar EQ SPR Hawaiian
Tanglewood DBT PE HR Parlour Acoustic Guitar. Our stunning new Discovery Exotic Parlour is constructed from Hawaiian Rainwood, sustainably grown and imported from the South Pacific to give a wonderful appearance to this true statement piece instrument. To maximise the Parlour instruments we can build, we produce only the back of each model in Rainwood, and construct matching sides from Walnut. Hopefully this exotic complement of timbers will allow us to produce the model for many years to come.
Our hand selected tops are from the mountains of the Himalayas. These hardy spruce timbers are chosen for their exquisite grade patterns and tonal excellence, and we are constantly reminded of the craftsmanship of these fine instruments as soon as we play them. Quarter sawn tapered spruce bracing gives a gravitas and warmth to the construction of each top and lets every instrument sing.
We fit silky smooth Eboncore finger boards for maximum fret efficiency and feel and this particular model has an onboard 4 band EX4 EQ to make it stage or studio compatible. One of the most exotic instruments we have ever produced, the perfect instrument for the player who wants something extra special.
Tanglewood TW2TE Travel Size Guitar. The Tanglewood TW2TE is shaped to the Orchestra body profile, which is beloved by solo performers or those who prefer a model that boasts volume without a “boomy” low-end output. The all mahogany top back and sides produce a wonderful warm and sonically pleasing tone.

The past 5 years have seen a huge popularity in travel instruments and lots of manufacturers are now making them.
We began making Travel guitars 25 years ago in our Sundance series and now in 2021 we have the Winterleaf All Mahogany travel acoustics that we believe represent outstanding value for every player.
We use genuine African Mahogany to construct our travel guitars and use strong laminations of the timber to construct each model, knowing that in use, they may have climate changes to endure and even a few bumpy bus or coach rides!
We love the warm rich sound of the mahogany, and we’ve braced each model carefully so the projection and tonal resonance when played is very appealing.
If you want a great guitar to travel with and play on the beach as the sun sets, or for your family and friends at the garden party this is the one for you.

Parlour
Small body with a big sound
Good for: Blues, Roots, smaller players and those who want more intimate dimension
Parlour acoustics are among the smallest in body size you can buy – not counting the travel guitars – and are typically favoured by players of more low-key, less brash musical styles like folk and indie.
The guitar’s ‘shoulders’ – where the body meets the neck joint – will usually be slightly more sloped than you’d see in a classic dreadnought acoustic, while the base of the body will also be narrower than larger sized guitars. The guitar’s neck typically joins the body around the 12th fret. All of which makes for a more comfortable and less physically intrusive playing experience. Another obvious benefit of this is the portability of parlour guitars. Their relatively smaller form factor means they lend themselves well to being slung in a case and carted off to gigs with less hassle than, for example, a jumbo-sized acoustic.
The small body size does not mean a compromise in sound as the long soundboard produces a big bass and bright highs. If you’re after a more compact guitar, this could be just the ticket.
