Why Choose the Palmer PWT 08 MK2

The PWT 08 MK2 delivers stable, low‑noise power to your pedals, helping you achieve a cleaner, more reliable signal chain. Its eight regulated outputs make it suitable for a wide range of effects, while the compact design fits easily onto most pedalboards. Whether you’re building your first board or upgrading your power setup, this Palmer unit offers dependable performance at excellent value.

Why “Regulated” Power Is Important

A regulated power supply ensures that your pedals receive a stable, consistent voltage at all times. This matters more than most players realise, because guitar pedals—especially digital effects—are sensitive to voltage fluctuations.

What “Regulated” Actually Means

A regulated supply keeps the output at a steady 9V DC, even if:

  • The incoming mains voltage changes
  • Multiple pedals are drawing different amounts of current
  • The power supply is under load

Without regulation, the voltage can drift above or below 9V, which leads to performance issues.

Why Guitar Pedals Need Regulated Power

  • Prevents noise and hum: Unregulated supplies often introduce hiss, buzz, or ground noise into your signal chain.
  • Protects sensitive electronics: Over‑voltage can damage digital pedals or cause them to reboot or freeze.
  • Ensures consistent tone: Analogue pedals can behave unpredictably when voltage fluctuates, affecting gain, headroom, and clarity.
  • Improves reliability on stage: Regulated power keeps your board stable even under demanding live conditions.

The Bottom Line

A regulated power supply like the Palmer PWT 08 MK2 delivers clean, dependable power that keeps your pedals sounding their best and operating safely. It’s one of the most important upgrades you can make to any pedalboard.
